About Perthyn

At Perthyn, we believe in creating a world where everyone feels empowered, included, and supported to live the life they choose. We provide person-centred support to people with learning disabilities across Wales and England, guided by our values of Integrity, Empowerment, Innovation, Accountability, Inclusivity, Belonging, Accomplishment, and Resilience

About the Role

We’re looking for four compassionate and enthusiastic female Support Workers to join our team in Powys. You’ll be supporting people across three welcoming homes, two located in Llyswen and one in Bronllys. Each home has its own character, shaped by the unique personalities and interests of the people who live there. Your role will be to empower individuals to live fulfilling lives, promote their independence, and support them to actively engage in their communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be part of a team that supports people with a variety of interests, routines, and health needs. Here’s a glimpse into each home:

🏡 People we Support at Bronllys

  • Support people who enjoy sensory activities, themed events, music, and community outings like festivals and rugby matches.

  • Help plan and participate in activities like BBQs, reflexology, and theatre trips.

  • Provide support with epilepsy, communication strategies, and trauma-informed care.

  • Shifts include early mornings, evenings, and waking nights.

🏡 People we Support at Llyswen

  • Support three women with complex health needs.

  • Engage in arts & crafts, cooking, swimming, and sensory activities.

  • Promote independence through active support and community involvement.

  • Shifts run from 7am to 11pm with sleep-ins.

🏡 People we Support at second home in Llyswen

  • Support two individuals who love gardening, cooking, and running a Friday disco!

  • Help with community activities like woodwork, market stalls, and horse racing.

  • Provide support with hearing impairments and communication needs.

  • Shifts include day and evening hours with sleep-ins.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a female Support Worker who is compassionate, adaptable, and ready to make a real difference. Here’s what we’d love to see:

  • A full UK manual driving licence — essential for supporting across different locations

  • A passion for person-centred care — putting the people we support at the heart of everything you do

  • Flexibility to work across various homes and shift patterns — including evenings and weekends

  • Willingness to support with personal care, manual handling, and health-related needs

  • Experience is a bonus, but not essential — we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed

  • Enthusiastic, resilient, and a great communicator — someone who brings positivity and teamwork to every shift

Joining Perthyn means becoming part of a supportive, inclusive team where your wellbeing and development truly matter. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Competitive Salary — plus a generous sleep-in allowance
