About Perthyn
At Perthyn, we believe in empowering people to live the lives they choose. We support adults with learning disabilities across Wales and England, and we’re proud of our values: Integrity, Empowerment, Innovation, Accountability, Inclusivity, Belonging, Accomplishment, and Resilience. If these resonate with you, you might be just who we’re looking for.
About the Role
Are you someone who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment?
Do you enjoy making a difference behind the scenes by ensuring smooth operations and excellent support?
We’re looking for a Workforce Support Officer to join our Human Resources team, a newly created role following a departmental restructure, offering a fantastic opportunity to shape how we support our workforce.
You’ll be working alongside a dedicated team of HR professionals, including our Head of HR and a HR Advisor, in a collaborative and supportive environment. Together, you’ll help ensure our organisation runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with our values.
At Perthyn, we live by the principle of One Team. That means we don’t work in silos, we support each other across departments, stepping in where needed and always working together to achieve the best outcomes. This role is no exception. You’ll be part of a wider network of professionals who share a commitment to integrity, empowerment, and belonging.
While this role may not involve direct support to the people we support, your work will have a real and lasting impact on their lives. By helping our teams stay organised, informed, and well-supported, you’ll be contributing to the quality of support they receive and that brings a genuine sense of fulfilment and purpose to everything you do.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be a key part of our HR function, supporting day-to-day operations and helping us deliver high-quality support to our teams. Your responsibilities will include:
Handling general office tasks like scanning, filing, and managing databases
Responding to telephone queries and conducting basic research
Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring GDPR compliance
Collaborating with colleagues across departments
Participating in our HR on-call system (out-of-hours)
Travelling to regional offices and venues as needed
What We Need From You
Are you…
Experienced in HR or office administration?
Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel?
A clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills?
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage your own workload?
Someone who understands diversity, equal opportunities, and safeguarding?
Flexible, resilient, and ready to work across teams?
If you also have experience in the charity or health/social care sector, or hold a CIPD Level 3 or similar qualification, that’s a bonus!
